What Happens After You Sign: A Look at Our Client Onboarding Process
Signing on with a new broker can feel like the start of a long process. Here's exactly what happens on our end once you do — and it's shorter than you'd think.
There's No Separate Contract to Sign
Unlike a lot of vendor relationships, there's no standalone service agreement between you and us. The only signatures involved are the carrier-required enrollment and application documents for whichever plans you selected — nothing extra layered on top of that.
Step One: Carrier Enrollment Paperwork
We gather and get signed the specific enrollment documents each carrier requires for your selected plans. Exactly which forms depend on which carriers and plans you chose, so this step is different for every client.
Step Two: Setting You Up in Employee Navigator
Before anything else gets built, we set your account up in Employee Navigator — plan summaries, census, account details, all of it. This happens first because everything else downstream depends on it being right.
Step Three: Building Your First Benefit Guide
Your first benefit guide gets built directly from what's already set up in Employee Navigator, not the other way around. That order matters — it means the guide reflects exactly what's been configured for your account, rather than being a separate document that has to be kept in sync with it.
Step Four: A Welcome and Kickoff Email
Once everything's set up, your primary contact gets a welcome and kickoff email — the starting point for the relationship going forward, with everything they need to know about what's next.
Final Thoughts
Signing on with us doesn't come with a mountain of paperwork or a long ramp-up. Carrier documents, Employee Navigator setup, your benefit guide, and a kickoff email — that's the whole process, in that order, so nothing gets built before the foundation it depends on is actually in place.
